Course Description

The course begins with a comprehensive look at Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). You will get to review its crucial techniques, the pivotal Chain of Survival, and the underlying anatomy and physiology that highlight the importance and efficacy of CPR in emergencies. 

Then you will be guided through the practical application of Hands-Only CPR and CPR with Rescue Breaths, adapted for different age demographics, providing you with the skills necessary to act quickly and effectively during critical moments. 

Further, you will cover the vital role of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), walking you through their usage, their essential part in emergency responses, and the key maintenance steps to ensure they are always prepared for use. 

Finally, you will get to learn the key aspects of initiating emergency responses, providing post-CPR care, and understanding the legal protections offered by Good Samaritan laws, all aimed at ensuring you're well-prepared to save lives confidently. 

Please note that this course covers theory only and it is recommended that a practical course in AED/CPR is obtained for a full knowledge and understanding of the topic.
