Course Description

Rigging involves moving heavy loads with slings, chains, hoists, and other specialized equipment. Cranes can be dangerous if used improperly, which is why the signal person’s instructions are critical and must be followed by the operator. Both roles are essential to safe crane operation. The Crane Signaling Awareness course teaches the basic skills needed to use hand or voice signals to guide mobile and tower crane movements, along with key guidelines for effective voice communication.
