Course Description

This course will examine OSHA regulations including employers' and employees' safety responsibilities. You'll learn about Personal Protective Equipment along with air-purifying respirators and filtration methods, plus the importance of Permissible Exposure Limits. We'll describe the main types of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and air-supplied respirators for use in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, along with half- and full-face facepieces, and Negative and positive Pressure Respirators. On a more practical front, we'll show how to fit, check, wear and use your respirator correctly.
